Terms of Service
Last updated: 22 February 2026
1. About the service
TinyPlates is operated by Evgeny Aseev, trading as TinyPlates, based in England.
TinyPlates is a meal-planning service designed for parents and guardians of babies and toddlers aged 6 months to 3 years. The service provides AI-generated meal plans, recipes, shopping lists with UK supermarket price comparison, and nutritional tracking.
The service is available via:
- The TinyPlates website at tinyplates.co.uk
- The TinyPlates web application at tinyplates.app
- The TinyPlates mobile applications for iOS and Android
By creating an account, joining the waitlist, or using any part of the service, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use TinyPlates.
2. Not medical advice
TinyPlates does not provide medical, nutritional, or healthcare advice. The meal plans, recipes, and nutritional information provided are for general informational purposes only and are not a substitute for professional medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment.
- Always consult your child’s GP, health visitor, or a registered dietitian before making significant changes to your child’s diet
- If your child has specific medical conditions, allergies, or nutritional deficiencies, seek professional guidance
- Nutritional targets referenced in the app are based on NHS and public health guidelines but may not be appropriate for every child
- Never disregard professional medical advice because of information provided by TinyPlates
3. Accounts
To use TinyPlates, you must create an account. When creating an account, you agree that:
- You are at least 18 years old, or the age of majority in your jurisdiction
- You are a parent or legal guardian of the child(ren) whose profiles you create
- The information you provide is accurate and up to date
- You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials
- You will notify us immediately of any unauthorised use of your account
You may create profiles for multiple children under one account. You are responsible for all activity under your account.
Account authentication is provided by Firebase Authentication (Google). You may sign in using email/password or via social login providers (Apple, Google, Facebook). Your use of social login is also subject to the respective provider’s terms of service.
4. Free & Premium tiers
Free tier
The free tier includes 3-day meal plans, 100+ recipes, a basic shopping list, allergen tracking, and one child profile. The free tier is available at no cost and does not require payment details.
Premium tier
The premium tier costs £4.99 per month or £39.99 per year. It includes full 7-day meal plans, 500+ recipes, smart shopping lists with UK supermarket price comparison, full nutritional dashboard, unlimited child profiles, preference tracking, and batch cooking planner.
During early access, premium features may be available free of charge to waitlist members.
We reserve the right to change pricing at any time. Any price change will not affect your current billing period — you will be notified at least 30 days before a new price applies to your subscription.
5. Subscriptions, billing & refunds
How subscriptions work
- Premium subscriptions are billed in advance on a monthly or annual basis
- We offer a 7-day free trial for new premium subscribers
- At the end of the free trial, your subscription automatically converts to a paid subscription unless you cancel before the trial ends
- You will not be charged if you cancel during the free trial
- You may cancel your subscription at any time; access continues until the end of the current billing period
Mobile app subscriptions (iOS & Android)
If you subscribe via the Apple App Store or Google Play Store:
- Payment is charged to your Apple ID or Google account
- Your subscription automatically renews unless you turn off auto-renewal at least 24 hours before the end of the current period
- You can manage and cancel subscriptions in your device’s account settings (Apple: Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions; Android: Google Play → Subscriptions)
- Refund requests for mobile subscriptions must be made directly to Apple or Google, as they process the payment. We do not have the ability to issue refunds for app store purchases
Web app subscriptions
If you subscribe via the TinyPlates web app (tinyplates.app), payment is processed by Stripe. You can manage your subscription and cancel from your account settings.
Refund policy
The 7-day free trial is designed to let you fully evaluate TinyPlates Premium before committing. After the free trial ends and a paid subscription begins, we do not offer refunds for the current billing period. You may cancel at any time to prevent future charges.
This does not affect your statutory rights under UK consumer law, including the Consumer Rights Act 2015. If the service is faulty, not as described, or does not match what was reasonably expected, you may be entitled to a remedy including repair, replacement, or refund.
6. AI-generated content
TinyPlates uses artificial intelligence (currently Google Gemini and OpenAI) to generate personalised meal plans and recipe suggestions. You acknowledge that:
- AI-generated content is produced algorithmically and may occasionally contain errors, inaccuracies, or unsuitable suggestions
- While we validate every AI-generated meal plan against allergen rules, nutrition targets, and age-appropriateness, no automated system is infallible
- You are responsible for reviewing meal plans and recipes before preparing food for your child
- If your child has severe allergies or medical dietary requirements, you should always verify ingredients independently
- AI-generated meal plans are suggestions, not prescriptions — you are free to swap, modify, or ignore any recommendation
Important distinction: The recipes available in TinyPlates are not AI-generated. They are sourced from NHS Start4Life and Gov.uk (see Section 9 — Intellectual Property). The AI generates the meal plan — the personalised selection and scheduling of recipes across your child’s week — not the recipe content itself.
7. Supermarket price data
TinyPlates provides price comparisons across UK supermarkets (including Tesco, Sainsbury’s, Aldi, Lidl, Waitrose, and Asda). You acknowledge that:
- Prices are indicative and may not reflect the exact price at the time of your purchase
- Prices may change without notice due to supermarket promotions, regional variations, or stock availability
- We do not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or timeliness of price data
- TinyPlates is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or partnered with any supermarket unless explicitly stated
- Some product links may be affiliate links — if you make a purchase through these links, we may earn a small commission at no extra cost to you
8. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Use the service for any unlawful purpose
- Attempt to gain unauthorised access to any part of the service
- Scrape, crawl, or use automated tools to extract data from the service
- Upload or transmit viruses, malware, or other harmful code
- Impersonate another person or misrepresent your identity
- Interfere with or disrupt the service or its infrastructure
- Reproduce, redistribute, or commercially exploit the service’s content (including recipes and meal plans) without our written permission
- Use TinyPlates to collect data about other users
9. Intellectual property
The design, branding, code, app interface, AI meal-planning logic, and all original content within TinyPlates are owned by Evgeny Aseev, trading as TinyPlates. You may not reproduce, modify, or distribute any part of the service without our prior written consent.
Recipe content & government sources
TinyPlates includes recipe content and nutritional guidance sourced from NHS Start4Life and Gov.uk. This content is Crown copyright and is used under the Open Government Licence v3.0.
Contains public sector information licensed under the Open Government Licence v3.0.
The recipes themselves are not AI-generated. Our AI technology generates personalised meal plans — the AI-generated planning output is original to TinyPlates.
TinyPlates is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or officially connected to the NHS, NHS England, or any UK government department.
You retain ownership of any personal data you provide (such as child profiles and food preferences). By using the service, you grant us a limited, non-exclusive licence to use this data solely to provide, personalise, and improve the TinyPlates service. This licence ends when you delete your account.
10. Health & safety disclaimer
While we strive to provide accurate, evidence-based nutritional information aligned with NHS guidelines:
- TinyPlates is a planning tool, not a medical device or regulated health product
- Allergen information is provided as a guide — always check ingredient labels yourself
- Choking hazard warnings are advisory — always supervise your child during mealtimes
- Portion sizes are general recommendations and may need to be adjusted for your child
- Food reintroduction suggestions (for previously rejected foods) are informational only and based on general research about repeated exposure; consult a health professional if you have concerns
- We do not guarantee that any meal plan will meet every child’s individual nutritional needs
11. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law:
- TinyPlates is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied
- We do not guarantee that the service will be available at all times, uninterrupted, or error-free
- We are not liable for any actions you take based on AI-generated meal plans, recipes, nutritional information, or price comparisons
- We shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the service
- Our total liability for any claim arising from or relating to the service shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim, or £50, whichever is greater
Nothing in these terms excludes or limits our liability for:
- Death or personal injury caused by our negligence
- Fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation
- Any other liability that cannot be excluded or limited under English law
- Your statutory rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015
12. Third-party services
TinyPlates relies on third-party services to operate, including:
- Firebase (Google) for authentication, push notifications, and crash reporting
- Google Gemini and OpenAI for AI meal plan generation
- Supermarket data providers for price comparison information
- RevenueCat for subscription management
We are not responsible for the availability, accuracy, or performance of third-party services. If a third-party service is unavailable, certain features of TinyPlates may be temporarily limited (for example, we may serve pre-built template meal plans instead of AI-generated ones).
13. Termination
You may delete your account at any time through the app settings or by contacting us at [email protected].
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account if you breach these terms, with reasonable notice where possible. Upon termination:
- Your access to premium features (if subscribed) ends immediately
- Any active subscription should be cancelled separately via your app store or payment provider to avoid further charges
- Your data will be handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy
- A minimal audit record of the deletion (email address and deletion date) is retained for legal compliance — see our Privacy Policy for details
14. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify you by email or through the app at least 30 days before the changes take effect. Your continued use of the service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the new terms.
If you do not agree to the updated terms, you may stop using the service and delete your account before the changes take effect.
15. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes arising from or relating to these terms or your use of the service shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
If you are a consumer, nothing in these terms affects your statutory rights under UK consumer protection law, including the Consumer Rights Act 2015 and the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013.
